Students create fossil molds and casts,
make observations about the fossilization
process, then answer questions that test
their understanding of key concepts.
Activities also include preserving an insect
in simulated amber and creating a simple
carbon impression. In addition to all the
necessary materials to create “fossils”, the kit
also includes several real fossil specimens
for examination and comparison, as well as a
teacher’s guide and worksheet copymasters.
